You can book and pay for your reservation directly through our website. Your reservation is confirmed with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% will be charged upon arrival. If you are using a different credit card to pay for the balance, please let us know prior to your arrival. You will always get the best rate by booking directly with us.
Our cancellation policy states that you will get a 100% refund if you cancel the reservation 30 days prior to your arrival date. 50% if canceled within 30 days but not less than two weeks prior to the arrival date. No refund if the cancellation occurs within 15 days of the arrival date.
Yes, 50% at the time of booking and the remaining balance should be paid at least 30 days before arrival.
Check-in is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-in or late check-out are available upon request and subject to availability.
There is a private parking lot at the property. Only one vehicle or golf cart allowed per villa.
La Dolce Vita, a highly rated Italian restaurant, is on site and open for dinner service most evenings. There are several other restaurants within walking distance and many restaurants in the village of Placencia and on the peninsula.
There is a wonderful pool for your enjoyment. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
Here are the Pool Rules:
- All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- No glass containers of any kind are allowed by the pool or the pool deck for your own safety.
- No food is allowed in the pool.
- Shower before entering.
- The pool in Building 1 is only for guests of Building 1.
Beach towels are provided at check-in.
Yes, but music in common areas and in the villas should be kept at a volume that does not disturb others.
Quiet time is observed between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Guests are not allowed to bring pets to Los Porticos.
Smoking is permitted on the veranda and the common areas, but not inside the villas or at the pool. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in trash cans.
No BBQs or food preparation is permitted in the common areas of the property, including the beach.
Effective July 12,2022, the government of Belize has removed all public health measures at the point of entry. There are places, like banks and hospitals for which you are required to wear a mask. Yes, Los Porticos offers internet access throughout the grounds and in each villa.

If you are flying into Belize city there are a few options: the most popular and fastest is the “puddle jumper” planes from Belize International to the Placencia airport in one of the two local airlines. Another option would be a shuttle, for a scenic 3.5-to-5-hour drive or renting your own car and drive yourself. Tap water in Placencia is drinkable and considered to be the best in the country. But if you still prefer bottled water, it is available and very affordable.
The official currency for Belize is the Belize Dollar. The legal exchange rate is US$1 to BZ$2 and currency can be exchanged at banks and hotels. All though it is not necessary to exchange money since US currency is accepted most everywhere, change will be given in Belize dollars. There are 4 ATM machines in the village. Be aware that you may get charged a fee on top of the fee your bank may charge you. A few restaurants are cash only, especially street food stands and the local artisans on the sidewalk only take cash.
The average temperature in Belize is around 75-80°F (23-27°C). Belize is cataloged as a moist tropical climate with a slight seasonal fluctuation. Wet season goes between May to October and the dry season from November to April. Summer temperatures can go up to the 90’s F (32°C) and in the winter you may experience lows in the 60’s F (15C).
